Our Founders
Our founders, Domenic and Joe Morello, have been instrumental in shaping Australia’s non-bank lending landscape, drawing on their experience in structuring, funding, and managing complex transactions across diverse sectors. Today, their leadership continues to underpin Toria’s focus on providing stable, well-managed credit solutions for investors and borrowers alike.

Domenic is the co-founder and partner of Toria Finance, an invitation only debenture fund in Australia that he and his brother, Joe, have built since its inception in 2004. With over 30 years of experience in the finance industry, Domenic has played a key role in launching and growing several successful ventures, including Chifley Securities—a non-bank lender focused on property finance—and NWC Finance, another prominent non-bank lending institution.
A pioneer in the short-term lending sector, Domenic is widely respected for his strategic foresight and ability to craft innovative solutions to complex financial challenges. He draws on a deep network of high-net-worth individuals and business leaders to consistently drive strong outcomes for Toria Finance investors.

Joe is the co-founder and partner of Toria Finance, where he has helped drive the fund’s growth, strategy, and market positioning since 2004. With over 20+ years in the finance industry, he has led some of Toria’s most complex transactions across Australia and New Zealand, combining commercial insight with deep deal experience.
Joe has a multitude of notable achievements including a $21 million rectification finance deal for a mining business, a $54 million development site amalgamation, and a $90 million settlement completed in just seven days—one of the fastest on record. Joe’s focus on long-term client and partner relationships continues to underpin Toria’s strong performance, reliability, and reputation in the private credit market.
